Every year, Martha’s Vineyard Fashion Week (MVFW) partners with local charities and not-for-profit businesses and organizations to drive fundraising efforts while engaging the local community. MVFW accomplishes its mission by creating an exciting atmosphere for local and regional fashion designers, jewelry designers, artists, writers and photographers to showcase their art against the backdrop of The Vineyard’s idyllic island setting. MVFW’s events will educate, entertain, and most importantly raise awareness for MVFW’s charitable recipients.
“Fashion is a statement, not a style. Fashion does not have to be worn casually, nor outside the runway. Fashion is fit for all sizes for all people of all ages. Fashion is an art of personal self-expression, not an excuse to be pretty, popular and charismatic.”
In September, on the island of Martha’s Vineyard – stores, boutiques, designers, models, stylists and fashionistas gather together for a week dedicated to fashion. The week will feature several fashion shows, trunk shows, themed nights in select bars and much, much more. Please see our event page for more information.

Trena Morrison is the founder and creative director of Martha's Vineyard Fashion Week. Growing up in the mountains of Pennsylvania, Trena knew at a young age she wanted to live in NYC and work in the fashion industry. It didn't happen immediately but eventually, she moved to the Upper West Side and broke into the fashion world working for some of the top fashion contenders.
After a lucrative career in the fashion industry, she left the Big Apple and moved to the beautiful island of Martha's Vineyard- a familiar place where she and her family had always come for summer vacations. Trena then landed a job as the fashion editor of a seasonal newspaper on MV and is currently the editor of Dressed MV
, a lifestyle magazine showcasing fashion and style, food and chic home items from Martha's Vineyard.
Still missing the excitement and style of city life, Trena realized the island was a mecca of Great style. It just needed a platform to showcase all of the wonderful, talented designers and artists to the outside world as well as bring the new and familiar to the island. Hence, Martha's Vineyard Fashion Week was created.
Trena currently resides on Martha's Vineyard with her wonderful husband and her two beautiful children.
